when you get into mode b how can you tell what does the led do and also do you have to eject the drive to get it into mode b

when you get it into mode b the little led in the middle of the ring of light will start to flash, then the dvd rom tray should open up and then it should take 2 presses of the eject button to close, then it should be in mode b. that is what happened when i used the 2 wire trick.

i am not sure, i haven't done hitachi flashing in a while, but i am pretty sure it was either drive open and 2 pushes of the button to close, or it takes to presses of the button to open, just try both and see what works best for ya, everyone sometimes has different methods but always successful.

If you're talking about an already flashed 360. all you do is turn it on, eject the drive.. Pull the power cable out and put it back in and turn it back on with the power button. Instant modeB
