problem with swap magic in slimline ps2

i have a problem with swap magic. the disc wont load up in my slimline ps2, it goes to the menu with the memory card and after a few seconds a picture of a disc pops up, when i go on the disc the screen goes black for a few seconds then it goes back to the memory card and disc screen. but the problem i have is this, it works perfectly on my old bigger ps2, just not the slimline one. this is a bad thing for me as i want to play my games online, and i havent got a network adaptor for the big ps2. anyone know why this is happening to me????

What version slimline do U have? I have a V12 and swap magic works fine with it.

i have a v12 console & sm 3.6, but that doesnt really matter as the swap magic has worked in the past on the slim, its only recently that it has stopped working.

that was the first thing i did, i took it apart cleaned out all the dust and stuff but still it wont work :(
