Making DVDs on an HP Media Center m7470n

Can anyone help me?

I bought an HP m7470n desktop. How can I create DVD projects using HP recorded TV &/or video from a Sony DVD camcorder DVD-R disc &/or video on DVD+RW discs from a domestic DVD recorder?

I want to do some editing then burn projects to recordable DVDs with up to 4 hours of video achieving the same quality as I get from a cheap Philips DVD recorder you can buy at Target.

The DVD burning software that comes with the HP has essential features missing like Dolby sound, "fit to disc" and 4 hours per disc. You have to buy the "deluxe" version from Sonic / Roxio to get these but it does not work.

After 6 months, all I have is a pile of wasted DVDs.
