wow, now that would suck if they did start banning people from live....but i guess i would get over it....until COD3 comes out here in a couple of weeks since that is going to be freaking sweet on live. but then again, i have to go all summer without live, so im sure id manage.

i dodge the punch and kick you in the chin....compliments of chuck norris, hahaha....i imagine this thread will become very popular in the few days....and thats odd that he got banned, becuase i just checked my live, and it works fine still. so wahoo for me i guess. and if all you have to do is say that your running your 360 through the computer to get your live account back then that will be awesome in case more people do get banned.

Ha! This is just a minor set back peoples! Dont forget sony and there never ending firmware updates.But that didnt stop us right? Well neither will this. Some smart hacker will figure out how to bypass microsofts bs.

Now that i've read up on this, I think it's a false alarm. If they can ban one person, they can ban them all. He also states they banned his IP address. I think that's BS. Alot of people have dynamic IP addresses.. Imagine if they banned a certain IP, and someone else ended up with it. They'd ban the XBOX not the IP.
Edit - OOPS.. He did state the banned his 360 MAC address. Now that's more like it.. But I still think it's a false alarm. If they can ban one, they can ban ALL.

they say they his mac address was being servalinced and they stopped his account so he called and they said they had banned him for having it modded plus theres a dash update tommrow...be scared be very scared

I'm not so sure about all this now. Why would they ban just one user?!
I just heard he was banned for having about 77000 gamer points-seems like a hack thing?
thinking it over they'd be silly to ban now, they want all the customers they can get with Wii and PS3 coming out

hey guys i just went to a shop and they just made a update in my 360(dont what kind)and i just know that im able to play burned games..hetold me that he open the xbox and made a small update...is it possible for me to b banned from xbox live?

No one knows yet. There is a dashboard update due anytime soon. As fasr as I am aware you can play at the moment. I dnt beleive people are getting banned right now. If I was you however, wait for someone to trial it out. The "update" he gave you would have been a firmware hack which enables you to play your "backup" games
