safecom 6421 chipset problems

been trying to flash my samsung drive with safecom 6421 chipset pci sata card but keep getting port 170 slave/master message.Have hex-edited mtkflash etc.but no luck.Now xbox boots to main menu only with dvd drive disconnected,as soon as the dvd drive is connected it goes to blue screen.Any help much appreciated.Thanks

what command are you typing? i kept having this problem, but then i found out i was entering the command wrong. make sure you have the spaces where they need to be:
"mtkflask(space)r(space)/m(space)orig.bin"

without the qoutes obviously.
also make sure that all of your IDE drives are unpluged and that the sata cable is plugged into the sata 1 port of the pci card. it worked best for me to turn on pc with the sata cable allready connected to the pci card and 360, but the 360 turned off then wait until it booted to the "A://" prompt, type in the command, then turn on the 360 and hit enter within two seconds...worked like a charm everytime.

Thanks for replying, tried these with no luck. Also sucessfully made extreme boot disk after detecting chipset but it gives me only one choice :1 ide secondary master then still port 170 master/slave :bo should be 41 but 70 .Trying to flash samsung ms=28 but via 6421l not listed in dos.Searched bios for raid enabled but can't find anything. Now thinking of looking for drive flashing service in kent or south east uk to solve problem. Thanks .

well thats your problem, you have an ms28, lol. mine was a ms25 and it was much easier. i dont know what to tell you about a ms28. sorry. good luck with the flashing service.
