just backed this up using Schtrom v3 and samsung 162c drive, evrything seemed fine but wont play on hitachi drive...

all other games work fine but this is the first orginal backup..

anyideas..

Depends on which firmware the hitachi has on it. Older firmwares had trouble reading anything that wasn't burned on a Pioneer 111d drive.

does that count only on backups as the other four i did from newsgroups work fine.. same drive and clone cd software

Maybe the ss.bin file wasn't properly inserted. Try again with the ss.bin file and SSmerger 1.7
If you *need* the ss.bin file, go to ps2nfo.com
I've never backed up a game myself so I can't help you with that particular program.

he shouldnt have to worry about the ss when using schtrom, it does that for you. its just click click click...saved on hd...open clonecd, click click click, dont being burnt, pop it out of the burner, put it in 360 and play. but he should update his fw if its not the newest one out.

cool thanks guys, i just did saints row too as a test and it works on mine so will check it on my friends, but this time i used xbc instead..

you might always want to go through the settings with schtrom, sometimes they get changed and cuased it not to be copied correctly. just a thought though. but if xbc is working correctly then i would just go with that program then.
