I need to grab several clips off various DVDs. Before, I was
ripping the data off the DVDs, then editing the clips and
re-compressing.
I know Mac has Final Cut where you can hook up a DVD Player to your computer and click your mouse to start capturing a clip then click mouse again to end capturing.

I don`t have a Mac.
Do anyone know a program that has this capablity.

PS... I very new to make DVDs.

Thanks in advance.

AoA DVD Ripper will do the trick.

Download a free trial from http://www.aoamedia.com/dvd_ripper.htm and give it a try (Select "Clip" in the Copy Mode area),

or see this guide:
