I have had my burner for several years with no problem, then apparently Microsoft did an update or something and AnyDVD no longer wants to work with my computer. It doesn't recognize the DVD Drive when it's installed. Ok, so I uninstalled it and began just encoding with DVD Shrink and burning with another program I can't think of right now, but I have been unable to do anything with Click or Monster House, I get invalid navigational structure message or something like that. I downloaded DVD FAB and now my burner can't be recognized. Can anyone help me? This is also happening with Click and a Prairie Home Companion. I'm getting frustrated.

Thanks!

Both "CLICK" and "MONSTER HOUSE" has tons of bad/corrupted VTS plus the latest protections. I doubt it's the updated from Microsoft. Since you stated that you have AnyDVD, why don't you used it's ripper to the HD first instead of DVD Shrink.

However, don't sweat though because either DVDFAB Decrypter or RipIt4Me can handle them (CLICK & MONSTER HOUSE) smoothly. Just make sure you have the latest from them that's all.

**NOTE: all FREE tools are include inside guides

Here's an all FREE guide, DVDFAB+VobBlanker+ DVD Shrink+ImgBurn - just skip step #2 (VobBlanker), unless your an advanced user and know where/what to blank out.

Thanks, I'll try that, but I'm still not sure why Any DVD or DVD Shrink, or whichever program it is keeps not recognizing my DVD Burner. I'm getting tired of unscrewing the side of the computer, unplugging it, uninstalling, plugging back in and reinstalling. Anyone have this happen before? Let me know if I should post that in another forum. I also don't currently have a working copy of Any Dvd on my HD cause it kept nullifying my DVD burner so I uninstalled it.

Thanks again
Karen

@KareninAZ

You're welcome. Well, to be honest with you I don't have AnyDVD and I have not seen any movies/dvds that I can't rip & backup whatsoever. So far, both DVDFAB Decrypter or RipIt4Me has never let me down.

Just use either guides from above and you'll be alright. Follow the steps closely and I'm sure it'll guide you to success. Remember to "skip STEP #2 VobBlanker, if you're using my guide or unless your an advanced VobBlanker user and knows where/what to "blank out" (i.e. FBI Warnings, Trailers/Advertise, Extras, etc.)

Regards
