I downloaded nba 2k7 backup (which I alredy own) and it was incomplete and corrupt. So I then used quickpar and it said it fixed all errors. So when I now try extracting it from WinRAR I get his error:

! CRC failed in nig-nba2k7.iso. The file is corrupt
! C:\Program Files\NewsLeecher\downloads\nig-nba2k7.r00: Unexpected end of archive

and I have all the .par files associated with this. Everytime I try running quickpar it says it's fixed. What's the deal? anything you might know on this? I googled this and other forums say that the naming convention might be wrong or that the actual file might actually be corrupt. It's just a shame and waste of bandwith if this is the case. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try redownloading the .r00 file. On Quickpar, unselect fix automatically. Then click ADD. Add the .r00 file you have and then put checkmarks in monitor folder and repair automatically. If that doesn't work, check and make sure all the files are actually named the same. Someone could've screwed with it and posted a different r.00 file.

I tried all above, but still encountering same problems. I then also downloaded graw, unrar and guess what? same thing!~ for some reason it seems that .rar #24 was skipped and is missing from the files. WinRAR prompts me to manually look for this one .rar file to continue extracting. But when I looked through the .sfv file this particular .rar fle is not included ther, and it's sure not included in all my downloads. I tried using the .par files to see if this would do anything for it, and nothing. Any suggestions on where I can obtain this one particular file? Been looking online and can't seem to fine just this one .rar24 for graw.

try downloading WinRAR from one of the newsgroups or torrents sites. 99% of the time they're the full version and will remove that nag screen.

http://www.giganews.com/ by far one of the best. I have the platinum unlimted newsgroup server account for $24.99 a month. One backup and this service pays for itself. Hope this helped good luck.
