What burners do ya'll use to burn your games?

maybe that'll clarify your problems of you backups.
i use 3
my lite on 1635s is my primary with benq 1620 my secondary and my nu ddw082 as my only drive that can booktype DVD-R discs (yes it can i've done many times).
also pst your media that you use, media code (id) not brand as that doesn't matter in 99% of cases unless brand is verbatim and taiyo yuden.
to sum up my burners are
Primary: LiteOn 1635s YS0Z Fast Burn Dual format f/w
Secondary: Benq 1620 B7W9
Last Backup extreme cases: NU DDW082 (the only one i know of that can booktype DVD-R to DVD-ROM)
Media: MCC004, MCC03rg20, TYG02 and yuden00t02
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (Conroe) @ 3.1ghz
OCZ 2x1024MB PC6400 Ram
eVGA 8800gtx

this is why your burns turn out awful. liteon isn't saying much. when you say just liteon and lg supermulti they could be the pos 401s to 160p6s. please specify. if you don't know your media id or burner model ya'll don't deserve to be copying games and expect everyone else to fix your problem

I use lite on. Burned over 50 ps2 games with it no problem.

Lol. Lite-On as well.
Burner: Lite-On Super AllWrite DVD Writer, 16X DVD+/-R, 8X DVD+R9, 4X DVD-R9, 5X DVD-RAM, 8X DVD+RW, 6X DVD-RW
Model: SHM-165P6S.
Media: SONY AccuCORE DVD-R 16x/1x [ID:SONY16D1]
Method of Burn: DVD-Decypter @ 6x speed
Success rate: 98.3% (Problematic games where the problem, otherwise a perfect burn every time).
Method of Burn: CloneCD @ 6x speed (For problematic games ONLY)
Success rate: 100% (Only burnt games twice using this, it does work)
Rebuilt images made: 5
Successful: 80%
Reason: Turns out you can't rebuilt Bully due to LBA checks.
What's the point rebuilding VP2:S, I just wasted a DVD-R.
It works better, now I have a NARUTO 3 in 1 game on one DVD.
Well thats just me there.

well the only name on my cheap piece of crap is retail plus and I only paid like 60$ for it brand new. I got no problems burning games it all depends on how your booting your back-ups usually. Most of the people with problems playing backups are swap magic users because it sucks not alot of people with a good chip have problems :)

pioneer 109 with hacked firmware works great every time its love most disks and its great with duel layer as well but sucks for ripping iso
