I've been searching the forum for about a half and hour now and I couldn't find an answer. Knowing me, the answer is probably right in front of me and I just glanced over it.

My friend and I just flashed our 360s about a week ago. I couldn't be happier. Long story short, we started making backups of our current games. We ran into a few problems, but we figured everything out on our own.

I am able to play backups on my 360 with ZERO problems. My friend, however, is having problems. The backup copies work ONCE but then once a disc is removed, the system stops reading other backup discs. For example, he puts in Double Agent, it works fine, then he puts in GRAW,and the 360 won't read it. He then puts in Double Agent again and the 360 won't read that when it was able to a few seconds earlier. Ten minutes later, GRAW will work but once that disc is taken out, other backups won't work. He has a 360 model from 2005. Has anyone else had this problem? I hope I explained it well enough.

I've seen this problem with OPA-Xtreme 2.3 and a Hitachi drive. As much as I hate to admit it, you gotta use Birdy's 2.2Fixed flasher to make this go away. It's a non-stealth firmware and Birdy has been known to brick some 360's but this 2.2Fixed version doesn't brick drives.
You can slave away wondering what the problem is, but the problem can be solved quickly. If you need Birdys 2.2Fixed, let me know and I'll give you a link.

Thanks for your response.

I think he would rather deal with the problem then not be able to play on Xbox Live. It's not like he's going to be switching discs out every ten seconds all the time anyway.

I don't think stealth firmware is going to save us from the ban-hammer. The media itself it's stealth. Even if the game has been stealth patched, the hitachi firmware doesn't "support" stealth media yet..

I haven't flashed my yet with the opa firmware but mines is also manufactured in 2005. So are you saying you're not recommending the opa for my hitachi? by the way can you pm me with the link to the other firmware. thanks!

That's not what I'm saying. I say use the OPA2.3 stealth firmware and if you have this problem, run restore.bat and run birdy's flasher. Try with opa 2.3 first. If you have no problems, good. If you do, then I will give you a link to 2.2Fixed of Birdys.

I have the same problem. The only thing is im scared to reflash it, so what i do is load the disk 3 or 4 times till the 360 reads it. Choice is yours.
