I downloaded a soft mod to my xbox.i wanted to go on xbox live .I learned you cant sign on with the soft mod.I tried to delete it and now every time i try to turn on my xbox it wont turn on.Later the person i got the soft mod from sent me an e-mail that said dont delete the soft mod!He said it will program the xbox not to turn on again.what do i do?is there a way to turn it back on?

well with the newer softmod's you can go onlive with no problem how far in the past is the person who softmodded it? i would let him come over and fix it before you do anything else to mess it up even worse..

I have never heard of a softmod doing that before. So does your box do nothing at all when you try to power it up?

some times when i plugged the xbox in it dosent work.
but after one day it dosent work for a couple weeks.
now my xbox dosent work.it says error 13 call costemer support!!!

man, your box doesnt sound too good :-o
Error 13 is something to do with missing dashboard, missing files for the dash...etc.
So is your box completely unmodded now? If it still boots back ups try to run an Auto installer disk like slayers or AID which will then let you put a dash back on from the disk.
if it is unmodded now I think the only way to fix it is by putting the dash back using the hot swap method but I could be wrong, haven't worked on an xbox 1 for a few months :-/

now my xbox wont turn on.i bet if i wait a few days it will
turn back on.just like other times.
for some reason if my xbox has an error i leve it off for
a couple hours.then it wont turn on.
so i have to wait another couple of hours then it will turn on
softmodded.

i have had the same problem with a xbox i was fixing for a mate the powering on problem is not nothing to do with the softmod its your cpu over heating or sum fing like that and you could rebuild you hd using xboxhdm if you have msn i could tell you how to do it over there privert msg me and i will give you my e-mail

Your power on issue will almost undoubtedly be caused by heat or a bad solder in your PSU!
Open your machine and clean it of dust, compressed air is the best. Pay special attention to the heatsinks and rear fan!
Then check your PSU...

you guys seem very mislead.
Glitch states the error is
13 - kernel - Dashboard launch fail
Glitch also states he had deleted the softmod files; Being he deleted the new dashboad the softmod would have installed

The final verdict is rather simple, the xbox is unable to boot to the dash. Glitch must replace his xbox or, access that xbox's Harddrive and put the files back on. This may require somebody help, to obtain the original files again. Hopefully a friend that's already modded his xbox can help load the files from his HD to yours.
Though I only recommend this, if you really know what your doing, otherwise, mishaps like above will happen like "Opps I deleted my xbox operating system"
Oh also, just a theory, but try turning on your xbox by pressing the eject try button, instead of the power button.
As a safe guard, softmoder created a backup dashboard, to help you gain access to you xbox again, if something like this ever happened. If you can access your xbox via this method again, you should then have two of many options. 1. uninstall softmod (will install a backup image of your xbox HD) 2. Re-install softmod.
I hope this information comes to help.. But consider this.. why not have a modded xbox, when you can play live off xbox 360, i do.

LOL, showing off, just trying to help you dumbass n00bs. even the description of a power supply problem doent fit under glitches symptoms. He states his 1st problem is getting error 13, a dash problem. he does also say in the past sometimes his xbox didn't turn on. but when it does turn on, its an e13. also he's only getting e13 after the softmod delete, meaning the power supply is not a main issue.
if you actually "READ" you will notice you guy are force feeding him bullshit. I'm offering a professional opinion from someone that has softmodded dozens of xboxs, not to mention fixed them in and out.

hmm, never encountered that one personally, I'd assume the same solution as before would still apply.
You need to unlock the HD and return the original files back onto the HD.
according to the error code, E16 means parts of your Xbox dashboard are missing, in other words you've deleted something on the xbox's C: Drive and now it can't boot properly...
