I am also having problems with LittleMan. I tried using VobBlanker, but I wasn't able to weed out the blank cells. Can anyone help?

Dvdfab decrypter worked, and so did the AnyDVD ripper. I don't see why this movie is so difficult for some.

@res2cue...... isn't it funny how you see many new members come online not knowing how easy it is to copy a DVD movie? Coming to AfterDawn is the first step to learning how to make things very easy! once here and participating in finding ways to do things and opening ones eyes to programs that do it all makes things a whole lot easier! But we must remember that we were all Newbies at one point and help is just a question away!!!!

i have had many friends unable to back up this disc (little man) however most of those people were unable to get the movie to play on their dvd player. i'm thinking quality control is partly to blame........

I did mine (LITTLEMAN) with DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.3.5 (roughly 15 minutes or so to rip), I have VobBlanker processed and took all the junks (FBI Warnings, Trailers/Advertise, Extras/Features, etc.)
My final file is 3.62GB (my kind of modified Full Disc "Movie + Menu") and it doesn't even need to transcode at all. I burned it straight with Nero Burning Rom, backup came out perfect and it plays flawlessly.

This is in reply to gwazi you said that you have friends that have backed up this movie but have problems playing it in there DVD Player. I Recently backed up my Copy of Little Man and when I went to play it nothing would play so I then tried it in a few different DVD Players and had no problem so I took note of the Brand of DVD Player I first tried to play it in that had problems and it is a Panasonic DVD Player that is Multi format Compatible player. after taking note of that I went to my Sister's house and tried to play the movie in her DVD Player which is also Panasonic brand and it was not working in her Panasonic DVD Player Either. What I am trying to say is that I think the problem is just some kind of Compatibility Issue with the Panasonic DVD Players Very Strange problem and hopefully if someone has the Answer to this they can share with the rest of us as so we can play are Backup of Little Man without having to wear out our Original.

in reply to sentagram, yes panasonic in particular is having problems with this. playing the original movie even on yes my panasonic. i took mine back to walmart, exchanged it and the new copy worked fine, the back up plays fine also. i'm inclined to agree that panasonic in particular is having problems with this movie, but my daughter mentioned to me that alot of her college friends had problems playing the original, non backed up version. (rentals) so i called a good friend whose wife works for blockbuster, and it appears that many copies of this movie are troublesome. not much help, hope you can exchange your copy, and maybe that will help.

sentagram try another blank dvd.
some brand names dont't work right with your dvd player or maybe you should change the writing speed speed of your back up program.

apl718 makes a good point. but i'm guessing you've had good success with the brand you're using in the past. i have the best results on my panasonic with maxell. also, did you try just burning the movie and nothing else? i do that most of the time. and if you're using any dvd or dvd region+css free. make sure you don't have it skipping directly to the title. hope you can solve your problem.

Thank you for your Responses apl718 and gwazi. I Have been using Taiyo Yuden DVD+R Booktyped to Rom format and have never had a problem playing a Movie backup untill now and I also use Sony DVD+R
DVD's Booktyped aswell I even have Verbatim DVD+R DVD Media which I also booktype to Rom. I Still have the same problem where the DVD Will not play in my Panasonic DVD Player and have just given up on the Backup as it appears to play just fine in any other DVD Player. I do like your suggestion gwazi on burning the DVD Compilation at a slower speed other then the 4X Speed I Used and will try that on a DVD-RW DVD as so I can erase it if it failes again because I already tried Little Man on it burned at 4X speed and had the playback problem with it in My Panasonic DVD Player. Well that all I have to say and mension and if you have any Questions feel free to ask. Bye for Now

I Also tried DVD Fab but no AnyDVD and it worked to rip it to my Hard Drive Because I Believe and know that any movie can be backed up using only Freeware Programs so go ahead and waste your Money.

sentagram, i hope you didn't think i was implying you need to pay for a program to back up dvd's. i'd like to mention a little off topic that dvd+css region free is now offering a 90 day free trial instead of 30. i prefer any dvd. and own both. it's worth downloading for a free 90 days.

sentagram , my dear,I had the same problem before ,you know what you have to do try to increase the writing speed 8x 10x,I used those, cause I have a panasonic dvd player too.
Now all the movies I backed up are excellent video quality.
Use this formula FAB decrypter + Shrink

Thank you gwazi and apl718 for your Advise and Recomendations. I am so far able to backup any Movie I want using freeware so I will not give AnyDVD A try untill I find that I have to but thank you for letting me know that there is a 90 day trial right now. And apl718 Thank you hun for recommending I burn the backup at 8X Speed I will give that a try and see what happens. I Will keep you all Posted and let you know if increasing the writing speed will make it play in Panasonic DVD Players or not as I have allready tried burning it at 2X and that did not fix the problem Hopefully this will work or I give up.

don't give up is easy
first try to know wich speed your blank dvd support 8x 10x 12x.
second use the free programs as Fab Decrypter + shrink the best combination.
Let us know how it was..

I used the dvdfab decrypter to rip it to the hard drive and then used the Vob Blanker for the blank cells. I also used Nero to burn it. When i watch part of the movie it misses up. Why is that?
