XBOX 360 Hard Drive Modification Qs

Hi,

Well my PS2 has bitten the bullet and died so now im considering buying a 360. When i had the PS2 i had a normal computer hard drive connected internally and was able to install and then play backups directly from it without the need of the backup discs + saving the laser from stress. Also i had another Hard Drive on my PS2 via USB which i used to play DivX files and large DVDs as i currently dont have a DVD burner on my computer.

Q1)Can you install a normal computer HD into the 360 or can you have an external one connected via USB?
Q2)Is there anything similar for the 360 to install games onto HDs?
Q3)Also any programs/ways of playing DivX files from the HD?

Q3) I think it is possible with the new update

Ahh nuts!! I hope something is developed soon though. Its a great way of ensuring your console will last aswell as immensely quick loading times.
