Transfer from Panasonic NV-GS27 to PC

Hi folks,

my daughter has been given a GS27 Camcorder, and would like to be able to transfer from the DV tape to her PC to put onto DVD.

The camera has both USB (mini, but not a miniB) and firewire. There are no cables for transferring to the PC, and I can't make head or tail of the instructions!

Both her, and my, PCs have USB2.0 ports, but neither have firewire.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to transfer the video?

If quality is important for you, use Firewire, not USB.
