Backing up DVDs to Xbox 360 usb harddrive

How would I backup my DVD collection on to a external harddrive i have connected to my xbox 360. I've been trying but i think that the xbox doesnt like DivX.

i tried ripping family guy season and when it was done it was extremely dark colors with trhe exception of some very bright neon ones

i am going to try and rip casino. now i know that when i rip this dvd, there will b 4 different video files. im assuming that they are all for the mainmovie. they are all about 1gb in size. how would i go about joining them all together.

you are turning them into dvd correct...so you should get about 4 Files and a couple IFO files...

i ahve ripped it and i am now converting with winavi. using the preview it looks like the movie is too dark. then how can i combine all the video files into one

check the settings in winavi and set the file size and other things...
