games lagging/freezing

hey guys, got a sammy ms25 here, with 4.1a on it. it occasionally lags on the loading process...example NFS carbon, after a race it freezes on the loading or in GOW it lags on the loads. just wondering what could be the problem here. burned using clonecd, with verbs at 2.4x.

did you rip or download?? because it is either a bad burn or whoever ripped it maybe didn't clean the disc very well, that is the only time i usually see freezing or lagging.

ripped it with the shd-162c. these are the only two games that ive had problems with out of the 10 or so that ive ripped.

I found this which you posted in another thread where someone was asking for help. I think it might solve your problem. :\

I was just playin' with ya.
Well it sounds like your burning setup is fine. In default mode, 4.1a is fast read. You could try taking any original and putting the drive in slow mode. If they read better in slow mode, it could've been the burn.

i don't know then maybe you were doing multiple things at once while it was reading/burning?? just try and restart your comp, and then burn/read again without doing anything, just let it do its thing then try it.

nah, definitly wasnt multitasking when reading/burning...i usually let it do that at night when im asleep....
