I recently d/l dvdfab decrypter. I followed all the right steps as far as using dvdfab to burn a movie to hard drive then use DVD Shrink to copy movie, the response was The read failed b/cuz the sector is encrypted.

Is there a way around this?

What movie are you trying to do? Do you have the very lastest update of DeFab Decrypter.

after running through dvd fab decryptor run through Vob Blanker. You can find it in the download section of afterdawn.
