Is it possible to burn "shrunk" dvd files from your hard drive to a DVD?

Yes it is. What shrunk file type do you have? Do you have Nero?

I have used DVD Shrink to create the backup to fit a single layer disc. I then need to burn it. I cant use Nero as it interferes with my TV card.

Hey there :-)

If you haven't got Nero installed, then you could re-do the backup with DVDShrink and when prompted to select a target device, create an ISO (Disc Image) of the backup and use DVD-Decrypter or ImgTool(Freeware) to burn the image, or any other ISO compatible software of your preference.

Can you use DVD Decrypter(free download)? Get shrink, in the target options, to create an ISO file and set it to burn with Decrypter. Download DVDDecrypter here. Check out his other guides as well.

And here is the guide, also from Mayo's page,on how to do it.

@rav009

Yeah Rav you beat me by milliseconds. I would have suggested ImgBurn, but decrypter is easier to use. I'll save Imgburn for another day. Have a good one.
