Can the 2.4x Verbitam dvd+r dl's be burned at 4x?

Here is another question.
1.Which is better Clonecd or DVD Decrptyter?If clonecd how do i switch some of the options like DVD+R DL to DVD-ROM?

I burn them at 4X with Clone CD with no problems. I say Clone CD is better, because it's what the release groups are using and you don't have to set the layer break with Clone CD. It does it for you. If your burner doesn't automatically set the booktype to DVD-ROM for you, do it with DVDinfoPro.

If you set your booktype with any program (DVDINFO,DVD Decrypter) then you do not need to worry. It will booktype according to what you want with ANY burning program. I use DVD Decrypter for PS2 games and CloneCD for 360 games.. All the 360 games are burned at 4x for me. 100% no coasters

But does DVD Decrypter work just as well just in case something goes wrong i really dont want any coaster.Also like i asked do the 2.4x verbitam which come in a 3 pack burn at 4x?THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

DVD Decrypter won't burn 2.4x discs at 4x that's why we say use Clone CD.

if the dual layer media your using doesn't support the 4X write speed then no matter what it will burn at 2.4x, you can choose 4x in clonecd but it will actually write at 2.4x, i have tried and verified.

But, you CAN burn all Verbatim DL DVD+Rs at 4x in Clone CD if your burner supports it. I've burnt serveral perfectly fine working 360 games at 4x in about 22 minutes. BTW that's almost 1/2 the time it takes me to burn them at 2.4x. Why waste that burning time if you don't have to? Verbatim 2.4x DLs burn just as fast as 8x ones. You know why? They are the same damn discs in different packaging.

This has been widely discussed on other forums. I don't have links to those disussions, but here's a couple of sites below selling 10 packs of 2.4x DL DVDs and rating at 8x them despite the packaging saying 2.4x. Trust me, they are the same discs that come in 8x packaging. If you have any Verbatim DL discs you'll notice they don't say the speed on them.
