linksys wusb54g installation trouble?

Hi , i have recently bought the linksys wusb54g usb network adapter. I seem to be having trouble installing the drivers for it as when i insert the disc and accept the terms and conditions a box comes up on my screen saying "installing the files on your pc. please wait..." there is then a timer spinning next to it yet no matter what it just sticks on 25% i have tred leaving it for up to 30 minutes then come back and it was still on 25%. I figured it may be a faulty disc so i downloaded the installation software from the internet and tried it but same results. Could anybody help me please?
