firtsly, my setup is as follows:
Black Slimline PS2 - PAL. - magic keys installed.
Swap Magic 3.6 PAL.

games working fine (now):
Alien Hominid NTSC (backup)
Tales of The Abyss NTSC (backup)

media im using:
Memorex DVD-R burnt at 4x on a NEC DVD-RW.

i have been having problems with some backups loading/not loading slow/badly. then i had an idea... what about moving the laser by hand to the inside of the disk before loading swap magic so that it dont have to travel from the outside to the inside first. and for some reason, all my backups (i have more than those 2, but they were the worst) now play FINE.

i was wondering if anyone else with the same/similar setup as me would try this also? it would be interesting to see if anyone else with slow/jumpy games now work fine by doing this?
