Can anyone confirm if this drive is harder to flash than most older drives? I noticed there were some post flowing around about how you can flash this drive, but will require some sort of hardware modification to the drive or motherboard. If this has already been answered can someone please post a link where I can get more details in regards to this.

Not only is it harder to flash but you will need to do the 10 sec trick and you will need to have a 6421L chipset based PCI card in order to flash the sammy.
