I just got a spanking new xbox 360 and noticed it takes about 8 seconds before I can see any sort of video from the unit. I am talking about the first logo screen with the ball doesn't come up for like 8 seconds.
I'll turn my HDTV on right after I press the power button on the xbox and it takes 8 seconds to show video. Now, I tested my old unit a hitachi drive and it only takes 4 seconds. I know it sounds stupid, but usually by the time I would press power on my tv (with the older xbox) I would immediately start seeing video. With the new one it just takes a bit and it's a bit frustrating to wait just after you turn your tv on. I check and messed with the display settings, but no luck. Can anyone confirm how long it usually takes after you turn the power and the first video output shows on tv?

I turn the tv on first and then xbox. But still same problem. I am currently running a vixio 32lcd HDTV at 1080i. I am going to say that this is a fairly noticible delay in the startup and it's just out the box! my older system would boot up immediately. I am a bit concerned. And by the way I am using the HD cables that came with system.
