Ok This is really gross but a friend of mine Has a bug problem and needles to say while crawling around his system Something it blew!
So i took the drive and the ram card out of his tower. (Couldn't get the tower to power up again) So on to question #1. The drive wont boot (as main) no matter what. Its the same exact drive as im using as my main drive. Western dig wd200 20.0GB... Every time i pull my main drive off and put it in its place It goes to a black screen and tells me to press escape to run. then goes to a blue screen and gives me a code 0x0000007b cox...etc I even tried removing all my drives and ram cards and just using his ram and drive And same happenes.
And i found out his windows system is Fat32 and mine is Ntfs. Now i would like to boot with his to get serial numbers from two semi expensive programs (Sony acid) And (Nero) But I can boot his as slave and explore the files So if anyone knows a way around this Please enlighten me!!!

Ok Question #2. His Ram card would be of use to me but every time i put it in any of my three slots My comp Wont boot at all!
When i power up my monitor stays black and nothing happens?
Is there a way to fix this card so i can use it for my system?

You know that your system runs fine unless you put his memory modules in to test it...the system fails to boot.

Solution: Get him new memory modules.

Yea i got that much.
I was unsure of the raeson his isn't working?
I was assuming that a "memory module" Should work as soon as i put it in.

But sometimes when his is in it says something about missing system 32 files so i thought maybe it was caused cuz of conflicting system info.

But Yes if it cant be fixed then i will just replace the "memory modules"

Unfortunately, when memory sticks go bad they can cause a number of different errors to show up. The files aren't actually missing from the hard drive, they just can't be loaded into the specific memory addresses the operating system is trying to put them in.
