Hey, im using Verbatim 16x DVD-R media(1st class quality). I have a v3 PS2. Almost all backups i burn on 4x boot. When they boot however during load screens and at odd spots every game will freeze. This has occured with .hack// Gu Rebirth, Shadow of the Colossus, Black and so on. Any advice would be nice. :) Thnx

Try burning at 8x. It's sometimes best to burn at half the speed of the disc. And try cleaning your lens with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol very carefully. Just dip the q-tip in some alcohol, drip it so that there's not too much alcohol, then circle the lens about 20 seconds. Afterwards, use the other side of the q-tip to dry the lens off (20 seconds again). Good luck.

Hey, when i first read your post i kinda chuckled and was like.....the usual clean your laser advice. I ended up do it and it was a success. Sorry for being an a$$ lol. Thanks a bunch. I just didnt think such a "generic" quick fix would be the problem. Thanks, bye.
