I read in another discussion that snag it and some other apps were good to capture music or streaming video. I will make up an example here so its not specific but a made up example. If I go to a site that has streaming video which happens to be a tv show. I can watch it on my computer but dont know how to download it to my computer. The site wont allow me or doesnt offer it lets just say. Whats the best app to use? Whats the easiest? Is it even possible? Thanks guys.

yes it is possible..I use WM recorder
http://www.wmrecorder.com/index.php
it is easy once you get it figured, there are others also. it can be tricky at first..but there is a good help site with this program.
after you record the streaming video..most will be FLV format..you will need to convert them with a capable converter..I use total video converter. there is a free program also..SuperC http://www.erightsoft.com/S5l01.html "download at bottom of page"
too tempermental for my likeness...there are also stand alone players that will play the files if you dont want to convert them..I would convert them..you can then have the freedom to do what ever with them..I send small clips I rip from video joke sites as email humore to my friends and family..I love it..

Are u saying I would use wm recorder to record it and then the other app to convert it? If so, as far as converting what would be the easiest to use yet also has good quality. I dont mind paying a couple bucks for a good one to use for this. Eventually all I want is to capture or record, then burn onto dvd. But again, the site wont let me download it. Only watch it.

Also, if this is a simple process, how come no one has done it yet and posted these specific tv programs on, say a torrent site? I would think someone would have already. Am I getting in over my head?

Thanks again guys

maybe they do post them on torrent sites...there are an awfull lot of torrent sites to search through.
there are other video conversion programs that may be easyier to use than Total video converter..and SuperC,I dont have any info to help on that.

...if you want too ..you can send me a PM and give me the site and I will see if WM can rip it...some sites have closed url links to there intagrated media players...as long as the site has respectable content..I'll check it out and tell you if WM can rip it..
