I have a new DVD burner and it takes less than 7 minutes to burn. But I am still at 30 minutes to read the disc in Shrink. Is there a better way?

I have:
Nero
DVD Shrink
VODBlanker
DVDDecrypter
DVDFabdecrypter
AnyDVD
Internal DVDRW 4x
External DVDRW 16x

I want to remove the garbage and previews and burn only the movie and menu. I would like to this quickly and not take 45 minutes per movie like it did before. THe new burner wraps up that job in 6 minutes but the authoring part needs some changes....

Any suggestions?

Why in a rush to finish your backup? 30 minutes is pretty decent enough if you have a good rig. Some people (including me) takes 2 - 3 hours to encode a movie (doing backups) using DVD-RB Pro + CCE SP 2.70 or ProCoder2 because all we want is quality. That being said; if you can finish it under 30 minutes then that's normal.

NOTE: I don't always use DVD-RB Pro + CCE SP 2.7 on every movies, only those that required a lot of compressions, mostly animation movies ( i.e. CARS, MONSTER HOUSE, THE WILD, etc.) or 3 hrs movie.

Since you have all the necessary tools already, now just search and learn a little more to bypass unwanted junks and you'll transcode your movie faster.

<><> Here's my usual method "my kind of modified Full Disc Mode" <><>

* DVDFAB Decrypter or RipIt4Me to rip into HD
* VobBlanker to get rid of unwanted junks (fake or tiny VTS/Cells, FBI Warnings, Extras, Trailers/Advertise, Features, etc.)
* Nero Recode to transcode (some are done within 15 - 20 minutes)
* Nero Burning Rom or ImgBurn to burn my VIDEO_TS file

Regards

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

Thanks Alkohol, your right. I do want quality, so time is not totally my focus. I thought that I could get great quality and still burn in 15 minutes. But let's forget about that. I do want a quality backup.

I am interested in deleting altogether the FBI warnings, previews and misc. junk with VobBlanker. How do you view each peice before you delet it so you know what your deleting?

Also, I don't understand if it is necessary to hit the backup button in Shrink.... Once it is already on my harddrive, is there a way to burn again without hitting the backup button and going through the whole encoding process again?

YES you can right click the file on your harddrive and burn with your fav. program no need to transcode again or open Nero dvd burning rom or DVD Decrypter click the folder in the upper tool bar fine the file and burn

your read speed should be set on 16x check your drive to make sure it is
