anyone able to return theyre 360 to Microsoft even after opening it and have it repaired? I have the 3 red rings of death, would anyone also know about the heat sink fix?

You open it and rip the microsoft seal you can't send it back to them. Warrenty is void.

well ive determined i have a cold sync because if i leave the system running for say 10 minutes with the red lights then turn it off then back on it works. It works because the sync is heated by running and the metal is expanded. I the hot air gun fix is an option but i guess ill send it 2 microsoft and have them tell me they won't repair it because the warranty is void. i have read on other boards that microsoft will repair a void 360. ill be suure 2 let every1 kno wat happens later.

they fixed mine thats what the customerservice guy said to me should be getting it back wednesday. mine still had the warrenty sticker still on it though i did the firmware flash but the sticker never really looked bad so maybe they did fix it ill find out here soon.
