Well last week I bought my first xbox 360 and I borrow a game from a friend ( Call of Duty 2) and ever since then I been trying to burn that video game. Im using the programs that are recommended In this discussion forum and Im also using CloneCD though, when I burn them and put it in the system a screen comes up saying "You need to put this game In a xbox 360 console". I don't know what Im doing wrong but I need some help.. Thanks alot!!!

you have to get the appropriate sata card with the correct chipset, and the firmware files that you need for whatever drive you have, and obtain you original fw, modify it with the files, and reflash the drive with the modified fw. and yes it will void your warranty because you have to open up the 360.

hi, can you flash the 360 with the Xbox 360? Connectivity Kit v2?, is there a need for a sata card if you have the kit?

yea i really want to know, according to what ive read.. i think that u just need to buy the kit v2 and just connect the dvd drive to the kit and from there to a usb port. then just load the xtreme firmware from a disk.. but im not sure how , or if it does work, if someone knows please tell us. thanks

if you would have read the full thread lonesmurf you would have seen that yes, flashing the fw will void the warranty. and you also would have seen how to put the fw on there since i answered that in this thread already as well.

thanks for the fast reply, im getting my 360 this wednesday so im preparing myself. Ok, so both of them flash the 360 but why is one more expensive than the other one if both of them have usb?, according to what i've read, if u buy either one of them you just open ur 360, take out the dvd drive and connect it to the kit then from the kit to a usb port, then just load the firmware. But im not really sure, got any ideas? thanks

ok at http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-360-conkit2 it says that the Connectivity Kit V2 (USB) for XBOX 360 is the same thing as the first connectivity kit except that this v2 has a usb, much easier to do things. It doesnt say only hitachi, but the X360 USB with Connectivity Kit v2 does say hitachi only..but my point is if anyone has tried using either both of those. Can you just connect everything like i said earlier and run the firmware?
