It loads up just fine-- the intro movie plays, and it gets to the main menu. However, as soon as I try to actually play a game, it kicks me to the "Please insert a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 format disc." screen, kinda like what happens if you try to play a backed-up game online. Is there any way to fix this or am I out of luck? Thanks in advance for any responses.

sounds like if it is a slim ps2 the back switch is not down all the way
