Hi guys,

I have 3 questions:

1- I was using DVDFab Platinum to backup a movie, the process took over 12 hours and was still not done...Anyone encountered anything like this before?

2- Now I used RiptIt4Me using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shring, the output result was a whole bunch of VOB files, what software do I use to burn them on a DVD? Usually I would use DVD Decrypter to make an ISO, except in this case the move was sony protected and DVD Decrypter could not decrypt it.

3- What is the best tool out there to rip a DVD and burn it bypassing all protections?

Thanks in advance.

Try out ANY DVD and Clone DVD from Slysoft its a 21 day free trial and simple to use.Dekrypter is no longer updated and can't break the new protections. Chris
Edit Also check out the user submitted guides section Alkohol has great sfep by step guides on using the different softwares. There's also other member guides that are excellent to. Alkohol's been my mentor since I joined this forum.

@ttohme.......... there's no way that a DVDFab Plat should take 12 hours to do a DVD (unless you have a computer that is soooooooooo old!). Maybe your drive went from DMA to PIO mode! check your DMA and turn it on again: http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/231/dmaissues

when you have VOB files you can burn them to a DVD5 if the total folder of the VOB files don't go over 4.38G ...... you can burn them using a nice little program called CopyToDVD by VSO: http://www.vso-software.fr/products/copytodvd/copytodvd.php
or you can use ImageBurn to BUILD... then to WRITE and it will take your VOB files and make an ISO and then write using your burner!
