Guitar Hero 2 not working still after using multiple media

I know there have been a couple of Guitar Hero 2 threads, but I really need help.
Attempt after attempt after attempt and to no avail. Guitar Hero 2 does not want to work. I've tried TDK DVD-R 16x, Sony DVD-R 16x, Verbatim DVD-R 16x, Verbatim DVD-R 8x, Verbatim DVD+R 8x and PC Line DVD+R 8x and they all don't work. I am using Swap Magic 3.3 with a PS2 Flip lid (v7 PAL PS2 I think). Most answers I've gotten before have been media, but it can't be after all those attempts. Every other PS2 game I've burnt has worked either perfectly or near perfectly. I've tried cleaning my laser and greasing the tracks, I've tried rebuilding the ISO, I've tried downloading a new ISO, tried rebuilding that, I've burnt at 2x 4x 6x and 8x.
I am at my wits end, can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

i had stalling problems at 4x. burnt at 6x and flawless

Just burnt the rebuilt ISO again onto Verbatim DVD+R 8x at 6x speed and it still just shows a black screen.
Any other tips?

trust me this week was a bad week for backups my self lol. what did u use to rebuid the file ?
i rebuilt mine with the gnie tool and got this

GNie rebuilder, but I have also built it using other programs like Apache 2, ISOBuster and stuff.

did you use img burn to burn it ?

try using img burn at 6x . there have been games that did not work using decrypter.

I used Imgburn at 6x speed on Verbatim DVD+R 8x = Failed again. Just black screen.

ive had the same exact problem, black screen and everything. im on my last disc,and considering that you didnt try maxell 8x DVD-R, im willing to try neptune's method, if this doesnt work i am pissed.

i had the black screen. i used cogswap with gta: vice city and it got rid of it. - try that if your still black screening.
it WAS working perfect but after the system was tapped loading john the fisherman on hard it has lag problems on songs set to hard. i think i currently have a 4x burn so i'll try a 6x. thanks
