Schtrom v3.1...cant read pfi.bin?

I got my 360 in 0800 mode and it's hooked up to my pc. I tried using schtrom to back up my nhl2k7. I select Stealth mode 3, and it gets to 3% and say "it cant extract pfi.bin." What's the deal? Can I just use a generic pfi.bin after stealth 2 mode and inject it? or is there something else I'm missing?

are you using sammy drive 360 drive or sammy pc drive. because i am pretty sure the sammy pc drive can't extract the pfi and dmi, only ss. and next are you just trying to get the pfi or you trying to back the game up. if it is a backup then just whole disc extreme method, works everytime.

It's the sammy in the 360. I'm trying to backup the whole game.
I used stealth mode 2 and had no probs, then afterwards, I was able to extract the pfi. I injected it, but now my clonecd is giving me and error opening file=layer break 1913760...

i heard of people having issues with 3.1, i still use 3.0, try using 3.0(whole disc_stealth_extreme_3.0) and if that don't work you can always do it the old fashioned way(DVDinfo Pro) and use isobuilder to inject.

you would be better off just buying the shd-162c drive for your pc then flash it with the kreon fw, and using that with schtrom than pulling your 360s drive out everytime. i have only had one problem using the shd drive. and that was because the original game was crap and wouldnt play either. well worth the 50 dollars on ebay for it.

I use the sammy Pc drive but also get errors using schtrom v3.1. In the end i just went back to using v3.0 as that works fine everytime.

ya, i refuse to update to 3.1 until i stop hearing people say that they are having problems with it. especially if 3.0 is still working fine for me.

I normally dont upgrade stuff straight away but thought i would with this. I shall learn to wait in the future...lol

I actually just got my sh162c in the mail today. :) I was just putzin around until I got it. I did get GOW and nhl2k7 burned and working with stealth 2 mode. Then I just injected the files that didn't pass the acid stealth test, until it said it passed. Burned the discs, put my xbox firmware back to 4.2a and played my backups :) all is good, thanks!
