ipconfig wont work, unless you run it from the root directory
so.. when you type cmd or command , you enter the dosbox,
then you type:cd\ , this will take you back to the c:\ directory, now run ipconfig or ipconfig -all
Usually ipconfig.exe is found in C:\Windows\System32. If you type C:\Windows\System32\ipconfig.exe giving the full path and it runs then more than likely it is a problem with your path enviroment variable. Type set then enter at a command prompt and see if c:\windows\system32 is listed under the path entry.
Interesting. Common DOS commands should be able to run from any file path....you might be having a similar issue as Dude845. Times where I've had issues running commands from DOS were due to malware leftovers creating files that misled Windows into believing the path, or file couldn't be found or didn't exist.
