STILL NEED help with xbox-hdd wont unlock

can anyone help me fix my xbox ? a guy i no wanted to use my xbox 2 fix his, but insted he f***ed up my xbox by unlocking the hdd with the slayers disc. i tried to lock it agen, because i had my eeprom from wen i tried to upgrade my hdd, and used the pass liveinfo beta 3 gave me, but it still didnt work..then i tried other passwords
( the HDD pass, and it didnt work) so now my xbox gives my error 6 and the ATAPWD program shows my HDD status as
SELFXV
+++--M
so can someone help me fix my xbox? Thnx

xbox hard drive maker. download and put your eeprom in the eeprom folder and make the iso then boot your computer with the cd-rw in the drive and pick 4 (i think, the one with locking tools) and lock it with the eeprom on the disc, put it back in your xbox and enjoy

um yea.. i think i burned the iso thing wrong because it doesnt boot the menu with the options, but it boots sum other crap.. i burned the linux.iso that looks like a rar file ( the little books icon) and it doesnt work so im wondering how i am supposed 2 burn it properly? THNX

i did use Nero, and i burned it as a bootable data disc, and wat exactl am i supposed 2 put on the cd?

NO!!!
Burn it as an image! The option in Nero is "Burn Image To Disc". The option you selected will make it a PC bootable disc, not Xbox!

yes chunk you use a PC to make an xbox hard drive...you need to burn it and it should be pc bootable then put your xbox hard drive as primary master and your cd drive as your secondary master and then pick option 3 and let it load up then type 'lockhd -a' and it should say something with a yes or no choice pick yes then it should lock then once its done type reboot turn the pc off and take the hard drive out and there ya go but do use Nero and burn image to disc but it still does need to be a bootable disc

ok.. the liux boots but when i try to unlock the hd it says it cant find the eeprom.bin file, but i checked on the cd and its there..so i tried to put the eeprom on a floppy, and it didnt find it ..so can you telll me wut the problem is? thnx

i tried to unlock the harddrive with all the keys i ever tried to lock it with, but it still stays locked and set to maximum security
( i tried to unlock it with a floppy drive with unlock.exe on it)

the linux.iso is burned onto a cd/rw but the problem is that the hd wont unlock. is there a way i can unlock it? i tried all the possible codes and passwords

Your EEPROM must be labeled "eeprom.bin", is that what you have?

Maybe you should read what I wrote again!? There is a MAJOR difference between a bootable disc and an image file. The fact that the image file contains bootable software, does not mean it should be written anything other then an image! Nero has the option to burn both, and they are very different options!

the iso is burned as an IMAGE, is the hdd that wont unlock...the eeprom loads from the floppy, and it loads a bunch of passwords, then shows the hdd status as maximum security, locked and security enabled..is it supposed 2 unlock when you load the eeprom?

try xboxhdm you can unlock it, put on the files u want and then
re-lock it
