How do you know if a game is patched so I know what directions to follow when trying to burn?

You read the .nfo file that came with the .rar files
If you don't have a .nfo file, then open SSMerger 1.7 and see if the correct ss.bin file has been applied. If you still don't know, patch it yourself with ssmerger.

Ok, well the SS file I downloaded off http://ss.softmodfiles.net/ and it doesnt match the ISO file I downloaded, and extracted.
