over the last two days ive modded two xbox's 1 crystal and 1 black nboth hav been ver 1.6 arrrrrg!! im bloody sick the chip i used for the install is the white duo x2 gs pre flashed with cromwell and evox v m8 plus v 1.6 bios it has latest linux version and flash routine. i installed the first chip by the lpc wire method and double/triple checked my solder then powerd up all i got was three powerup's then a blank screen i was told i had fragged? so checked every thing again found nothing wrong.the next thing i try'd was the crystal version 1.6 but this time i used the 1.6 lpc rebuild board and when i powerd up it started in the normal xbox bootup even with the switch flicked over so now ive got two of my mates xbox's in pieces and at a total loss as to what to do.has anyone had simular prob's and could anyone give me the lodown in laymans terms a.s.a.p as im desperate now.apparently my chips are pre'flashed so i can jst power up after install with evo x and try a backup disk(game) before prceding to install a dash.that is uf i ever get that far please help me all ye x box mod surgeons i have lots of faith in ye all

hey yea im having kinda the same problem, i installed a 1.6 lpc rebuild but the chips red light only turns on when i move the chip. i believe i need to solder the pin header first then solder the lpc rebuild board over that because some of the the chips points such as A and I are not touching anything but the rebuild which has no connection for them

sounds like both of you may have globed up the pin header prior to the LPC rebuild and that is holding the PCB off the MOBO and you're not getting connection to all supply voltages that the LPC rebuild provides to the chip.
