i live in england and as i write this a Matrix MX4 chip is being installed. I know how to make the back-ups and all that stuff but whilst looking on the internet for information about the chip i stumbled across this:

People willing to use it exclusively for Homebrew Applications Development, or people living in countries where the law does not allow the use of modchips for back-up purposes, must download the "Homebrew Development Firmware" from the software page.

People living in countries were the law allows the use of modchips for Back-Up purposes, can download the "Full Firmware" from the software page. to Re-Flash the chip to enable all the back-up features of the MX4.

I was just wondering what this is about and if i will need to do any of these.

If anyone else with the same chip knows anything about this plz help me
