COD3 on PS3 not as good as 360

I am starting to get annoyed with Sony now. When they released the E3 demos of the PS3 they hyped it big time. Now just like PS2 it has become obvious that PS3 is way over rated. In the lastest gamespot review of COD3 it says.
"Call of Duty 3's visuals are great, though a problematic frame rate leaves the game looking decidedly less impressive than it does on the Xbox 360."
"There are a couple of visual issues that mar the otherwise great graphics. Key amongst these is the erratic frame rate. It was fast and mostly smooth on the 360, but the game's extremely choppy on the PlayStation 3. This problem isn't limited to hectic battle sequences either--it'll chug in rooms that are completely empty. It never happened to a soldier that was alive, but after you kill them, dead soldiers will occasionally get stuck in walls and even float in midair. It's also possible to see the sparks from weapons fire through solid walls. Even though most of the textures are quite good, some of them aren't all that impressive and some of the indoor environments, houses in particular, are repetitive. "
"However, an inconsistent frame rate and fewer multiplayer options make the PlayStation 3 version slightly inferior to the Xbox 360 version."
Hmmm...and COD3 aint no GOW in the visuals department.
I hop this is just a once off. If the PS3 is as many times more powerful than 360 this would not have happened.

Thats funny because Gamepro reported that COD3 looks alot better that the 360 version.Look its to early,your dealing with first Gen-games so there not going to look better than 360 but from what i hear they are on the same level right now as 360 games.If this is true then thats a win for Sony.Lets not forget that 360 his been on the market for a year now.That mean alot for games on the 360.By this time Next year we will know if Sony was overrated.

not true b/c there is no game on the ps3 that is better looking than gears of war, so first they have to overtake that and then exceed, but at the same time 360 will be doing the same thing, so maybe they will never overtake.
PS3 specs may look better than xbox 360 but i am yet to see a game on the PS3 that looks better than any of the top end xbox 360 games such as gears of war, mass effect and halo 3.

Pretty much every single cross platform game not only looks better, but more importantly "plays" better on the 360, vs. the PS3. This is per IGN. Pretty much every game rates higher for the 360 as well. We'll see what happens in a year but if the PS3 is what people says it is, you would think even right out of the gate it could at least look and play exactly the same as the 360 versions. Tony hawk on the ps3 is pretty much a joke compared to the 360 version as well.

I think this is pointless ! number one why compair a system thats been out a year that devs are use to and startin to hit the sweet spot, to a system that is just now launchin hmmm maybe we should compair 360 launch games to Ps3 that would be the only fair way to judge I mean come now people . Idk it also depends on devs some are better than others but alot of people say they are equal and if thats the case keep in mind if a launch ps3 is equal to a year old 360 that is a pluss on sonys side because that means we have just begun to see what it will do in the future . I also think its kinda dumb to say it plays better on here or on there because we all know some people like the 360's controller and some like the Ps3(or Ps2) . it all depends on which controller you prefer .

I think some of you Microsoft people are missing the point...360 game should look better than PS3 games right now but give it time Sony will over take MS like they aways do.For all you GOW lovers Gamepro give GOW 9.4 where as Resistance: Fall of Man got a 9.1.So thats not bad for a first gen-game.Plus Gamepro put GOW up against Resistance: Fall of Man They both finish tied so if you think that 360 games are far from PS3 launch titles your fooling yourself....Here is the link read for yourself...

yeah thats a good point dreamer2 , they both are really goin to be powerhouses really thats good for future gaming at least people will get what they pay for . I say the sky is the limit ^.^

common, ofcourse you can not compare them, ps3 has had an extra year, but saying that games like pdz, kameo, condemed and pgr3 all got very high ign and gamespot ratings.

yo Idk about that ! have you not seen MGS4 ? I think that is gone surpass GOW that game is gone be nice . I think people overrated GOW It does look amazin dont get me wrong but aint it short ? and had alot of glitches ? maybe a 9.1 or 9.2 ever a 9.3 for graphics . I think people are really underestimating the Ps3 that can come back to bite ya in the a** it hasnt even been out a year ,from what I hear Killzone is startin to look very good but you say you havent seen anythang to match that and Halo 3. I say let them make a unrushed launch game which will soon come since more time is there ,also wait until Resistance start pickin up online. Sony is smart this time they are upin there fps game this rip

Compare the launch titles to the 360 launch titles. Also some ps3 games stil look beter then some 360 games that were just released.

no mate i meant, that there is no released game on ps3 that beats gow in graphics.
the story mode is kinda short, but i played it on hardcore and it addaed another three or so hours. its also jam packed with enemies so i look forward to playing on insane level of difficulty. oh and not to mention the online side of it is great.
not sure about gliches, i have seen none, but maybe someone has seen one somewhere?
does anyone on this forum have a ps3? just wondering b/c i thought if they did they would write there own review on it with pics and stuff.

There are going to be the same games for the ps3 that looks better on the ps3, and the same game for 360 that is going to look better on the 360.
Each consol is different, for sakes, there might be a game for the WII, which is a game for all consols, and its fastest and better looking on the WII, and look terrable on a PS3 or 360.
To sum it up, some consols are just better at running something else.
The AMD 64 would run some games better than an AMD FX2, but the FX2 would run games much better than the amd64 aswell.
Perhaps this game does'nt work well with SPE'S but works will with triple cored processors...

Thx for the link. After reading that I am very pissed with $ony. Those demos are fake. Infact if that article is correct 360 will have better graphics and will be easier to program.

The one thing in that article that stands out to me is the cpu's they're using in that they're both inferior to comp chips,that begs the question and makes me wonder if that's the reason xbox1 and PS2 games were glitchy and in your original post you mentioned stuff being stuck in mid air etc coz i've seen that happen in both consoles and some games were worse than others,a classic glitchy game with strange things happening would be castle wolfenstein tides of war or on PS2 it was called operation resurrection,then again it could be just poor coding as halo 2 i found to be shall we say glitch free (well almost, you'd have to play it a few times to find them)
