Anyone know how to enable 0800 mode? try to flash my drive but FW 4.2ab has a guard and it says to unlock enable 0800 mode. I burned the 0800 iso onto a disc and poped it in but it didn't do anything.
Can someone please help me?

i am not sure what kind of media your using but you need to burn it to a dual layer media, and what kind of sammy you have? ms25 or ms28? maybe it is just the timing too, but the only things i have seen this not work is the media, i have used many times and no probs so i know it works. if you need a differnt iso just pm me and i could email it to you

I don't think it's my iso. It's just I don't know what to do. The instructions says make sure sata cable not connected. that's it nothing else.

Put in the 0800 disc, boot the 360. Wait 15 seconds, eject the disk and there ya go.

PS2 may you can help me i'm trying to flash my sammy and it's a ms25 aug 2005 which firmware should I use? i tried 4.0ab, 4.1ab, 4.2ab none of them work for me.

what do you mean by it doesn't work?? if you are referring to "put this disc in xbox 360 console" are you getting that even with originals? if so then it has to do with your dvd drive key, if it is not working for you, you should manually inject the key with hexworkshop or some sort of hex editing program.

ok I flashed with 4.2ab and it wouldn't play anything I flashed back to orig.bin and it played originals again. I have hexedit but what do i inject?

open up your orig.bin and copy from line 4000 - 4400(not actually 4400, it is the line just above 4400), copy and paste it into the same area as the hacked firmware and reflash, tell me how it goes.

I flash wi`th orig.bin and it plays the originals, I flash with x42.a and it won't play anything orig or backups.I used hexedit to inject what you told me into the xtreme fw. still nothing. Should I use a older fw?
