Hi there.

I know there may be guides already here if fact i know there are but im stuck. Let me tell you where iam up to on downloading. I download a PS2 game, I unzip it using "Winrar" that gives me the ISO file, Then i use Nero to burn the ISO file onto a DVD-R at 4x speed. Now this wont work, am i doing something wrong or is there a another simple way to do it. (By the way i do have swap magic).

Another thing is, i have read alot of peoples saying to use DVDenyrpter and PS2 patcher. i have searched and searched and cannot find these, So if someone could help me out on that too.

Thankyou and im sorry for being such a N0oB, Bah! no im not!

Thanbks again ZombieRot

For copying your own playstation 2 games

1.) Download DVD Decrypter.

2.) Go to Mode > ISO > Read

3.) Insert DVD.

4.) Hit the thing on the bottom left it. ( DVD > Hard Drive )

5.) Wait till it finishes.

For writing ISO's ( The game ) to DVD.

1.) Open DVD Decrypter.

2.) When it opens, go to Mode > ISO > Write.

3.) Set the write speed on the bottom right to either 2x or 4x (If you can.) The slower, the better. If you burn too fast, the media in the game might take a crap on you.

4.) Insert DVD.

5.) Browse for the ISO. Hit the folder icon at the top in the source box. ( If you made a copy of a ps2 game, the ISO will be at Start > My Computer > Local Disk c. )

6.) After selecting the ISO, do the same thing as before. On the bottom left you'll see an icon Hard Drive > DVD. Click it and wait for it to finish.

7.) Enjoy the "Free Games Now, Woot!" World!

Ok, first thing is do not bother with the blue DVD Decrypter link in the above tutorial as it will not take you to a site that has it. It is a hard program to find for legal reasons.
If you are not ripping the game from a disc and already hace the ISO then use IMGburn, which is made by the same guy and does the exact same thing except it will only burn an ISO, and will not make the ISO from an original disc like DVD Decrypter would (again, legal reasons) http://www.imgburn.com/
It will work the same as DVD Decrypter so the tutorial above should still be able to guide you through it.

If you feel like you still want DVD Decrypter then PM me an email address, i think i have the set up file still.
some question:
1. what brand and speed is the DVD-R your using?
2. have you tried updating your burners firmware (good idea for anyone)
3. I would skip using Nero for games, but out of curiousity what option on Nero are you using to burn the ISO?
4. and which games are giving you problems?
5. Have you checked the site swapmagicfix.com to see if it is on the list of games that need to be rebuilt to work with Swap Magic?
6. and lastly the stupid question of the day. What are you using with your Swap Magic discs? Fliptop or slidecard or one of the tools used in the slimline models.

should be able to, yes
http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php
what you will need to know is the exact model number of your burner
And your current firmware version which can be found usually by
going to control panel, then system, then hardware tab, then device manager button, look under the CD/DVD rom section by pressing the plus sign beside it, highlight your drive and right click on it and choose properties, then go to the details tab.
you should see your model number and firmware version displayed like
DVD_RW_DRU-700A____________CY58
this is your model follwed by the current firmware version
