yes, im new, ive searched and couldnt find definative real answers. if it has been covered already, sorry, but i couldnt find it.

1.) Can a flashed X360 play copied games on Live?
ive heard yes and no

2.) Are modchips just fancy flashes?
i think they are, but not sure

3.) Can M$ detect if you are chipped or flashed?
ive heard yes and no

4.) Flashes are called softmods right?
i think they are

5.) Flashes can be easily removed?
i think they can, but not sure


im really sorry but ive been looking for a few days and havent found any real answers, some of the above, i think i know the answer to, but rom what ive read, its still muddy information out there.


Now for the real hard one.

why cant xbox games be just straight copied, whats in the lead sectors that prevents this?

All data is just a series of 1's and 0's, so why cant this lead-in sector be copied as raw data?

1. yes you can copied games online
2. modchips require you to solder wires to parts of the mother boards and the games to be burn in a certian steps.
3. unsure....not as of now, but possibly in the future
4. yes fw flashes are softmods.
5. yes they can be removed. you can always flash the fw back to the origonal state.
6. 360 games can be straight copied with the right programs, such as schtrom with the shd-162c PC drive. it can pull the SS codes off the disc as it backs it up to the computers HD.

i have yet to check on what version of player i have, but when you flash, do you have the option to save your old original version?

What is this stuff on keys in the bin file i have read a bit about?

if i back up my original FW and save it im fine right?
