i have a 2.0 xtreme fw on my MS25...Samsung

i want to do the online update.... but i also want to have the latest 4.2 extreme fw....but i read that if i had the 4.2 installed on my ms25 i will get messed up and bricked. is it ok to do the update as i am right now and after the update I flash it to 4.2

another question...what fw do you guys think is the best for the 360 MS25 right now.....

It should be good, but if you really want to be safe roll it back to xtreme 3.2 or 3.3.

i have another question...

the 4.2 fw makes uit so the only way u can reflash it is if you put the drive in 0800 mode...

how do you put it in that mode....?

Unless the changed things it's like flashing it, but instead using a modified firmware file you use the 800 file.

but in the read me and from what i have heard, you have to put it into 0800 to reflash it because of that Firmgaurd
