Hi,

I have been trying to flash my sammy ms28 using textbooks badflash recovery method but when I type samread plus my serial number and then wait 10 secs, boot xbox back on nothing happens, any advice?

hi man,

you should do the 10 sec wait method when you flash. It worked for me flawlessly! Here is the linky:

1...connect dvd drive to ide chain
2...disconnect all other ide and sata drives
3...use correct hex edited mtkflash.exe
4...boot from floppy with xtreme33.bin and x360sam.exe on it only (with more than 512kb free space)
5...connect power to 360 dvd drive
6...run "mtkflash R /SATA /M orig.bin"
7...unplug power from 360 dvd drive
8...count to 10 slowly (15 ish)
9...plug power back into 360 dvd drive
10...once read run "x360sam.exe orig.bin xtreme33.bin hacked.bin"
11...power down the lot
12...boot again from floppy with same procedure but now use command "mtkflash W /SATA /M hacked.bin"
13...Once written stick it back on your 360 and check all is fine

thanks for the advice where can i get the correct hex edited mtkflash.exe I have the VT 8237 chipset

okay i managed to get past that bit with tril and error but when flashing i now get error fail to open input file!
