We are all gamers and only care about playing games. Most of us can't understand a complex tutorial known as the firmware hack.
I ask for a simple step by step in plain (noobish) language guide on how to flash the Xbox360, including all materials required and providing all programs needed. Detailed step by step pictures would be nice too.

i did my Samsung ms25 to the latest 4.2 fw last nite....

im unfortunatly not familiar with the hitachi but i can gaurantee that many members on this site can help you

I read hte guide on 360-hq and it ends with saying:

2. Insert a Backup Xbox 1 Disc
- If you have one available insert a backup Xbox 1 game..
- The Xbox 1 Backup WILL NOT WORK but it will be recognised as a game by the emulator.

what does that mean for people that dont have a hard drive and can people with a hard drive play xbox backups or just 360?

If flashing the drive was an easy process then there wouldn't be a complex tutorial. It's not an easy process for many.

the firmware is just intimidating the first time you read it, i was, i will admit it. but once you do it your gonna laugh and say damn thats easy!!! i have done both drives besides the ms28 samsung drive. i think the hitachi is slightly easier too, i don't know if you need any help just holla.
