my ps2 wont turn on.its a slim and the button stays red.any suggestions...........?

When you press the power button, does it make the click sound, if not then some how you have managed to broken the power button, however if the button is okay, check all the SMD fuses on the motherboard using a multi-meter, what version is your slimline?
