Well, I read in various places that supposedly Ico does work with USBeXtreme. In fact, they go to greater detail saying that it works flawlessly even in the cutscenes in one (so if they're lying they are going into more detail than your typical lie will do.) Anyway, I thought at first it may be related to that whole DNAS thing after reading about the "DNAS swap" trick, but I can't locate any DNAS files on that disc, though I can locate an IOPRP224.IMG file (I'm not 100% clear on if this is DNAS, or simply just part of the fix for when a game does have DNAS, but the nearest PRP file I can find is 234, no 224s so far.) Whatever the case, when I try to run the game, I just get a black screen, the drive access light blinks for a bit, then turns red (I think that's the color for access, but normally it has a blue light on at all times to indicate power, so it sort of blinks purple to indicate drive access, and until USBeXtreme I never even knew this enclosure could hold a steady red like that. I'm guessing that's a pretty bad sign since it almost definitely is meant to say "error" in some form or other.)
I thought about trying to replace the IOPRP224.IMG file in much the same manner as the DNAS swap, but so far I haven't located any games that work with USBeXtreme and have the same filename somewhere. Am I wasting my time by trying to look for a replacement file? Or, is there any other means of getting this game to work?
Oh, and sorry if this is the wrong forum. I wasn't quite clear on which PS2 forum this belongs in to be honest, so this seemed the best choice since it's not about the game itself, nor things like modchips (though I kind of wonder if USBeXtreme could maybe get lobbed in there with such things?)
