Hi all, i have a v3 ps2 with a problem the console works fine till you insert a memory card then it causes it to freeze up, the console will load backup games and orignals fine without a memory card inserted in either slot 1 or 2 the joy pad works fine and you can play the games fine, now to the problem if you turn on the ps2 a memory card inserted all you get is a black screen and thats how it stays, in you turn it on without a memory card inserter and go to the browser screen everything is fine but as soon as you insert the memory card the console freezes and you can do nothing, i have checked all the fuses i can find and they seem fine, i have changed the ribbon cable to the memorycard/controller port and i've also changed the memorycard/controller unit itself and nothing changed anyone got any other ideas that i could try, thanks in advance

Edit:forgot to put in the post that i had already tried 3 different genuine sony memory cards and a non genuine one all the memory cards work fine in a different ps2 and all produce the same fault in the v3
