Before I ask the question I have to plead my ignorence, I don't have much experience with this topic so you'll need to cut the newbie some slack :)

Is Swap magic as easy as inserting a boot disc into the ps2 and nothing else? does the ps2 need any form of modification or is the booting sufficient? It just seems to good to be true. For example if i bought the swap magic boot disc from easybuy2000 would that be all I would need?

And if swap magic is so easy, what is the reason for people chipping their playstations? is it only for the convinience of not having to use a boot disc?

You will need a way of jamming the lid sensors if you have a slimline or if you have a bulky ps2 then you will need the slide tool, a man told me that magic keys wears away the lens because of the lines on the disc or something but i guess the main reason for mod chipping is that it is easier to use and it may have more features.
